 MARC NUPP IS THE WINNER!

August 17, 2010 BEMUS POINT — Chautauqua Lake Idol judges said that going into the finals, the result might have needed to come down to who slipped up in their last performances.
No one did.
So it was a tough job for the event’s panel of four judges to choose a winner. When the name was called, though, it was that of Marc Nupp of Allegany.
‘‘I really didn’t expect to hear it,’’ Nupp said of his name being called at the close of the finale Monday night on the Floating Stage in Bemus Point. ‘‘The girls were fantastic — everybody’s been just wonderful. It’s surreal.
