Sarah R. Malinoski-Umberger: Sarah is excited to be back for her fifth year as a judge for SE93’s Chautauqua Lake Idol! Sarah received her Bachelor of Music degree from Ohio Northern University where she majored in voice and arts administration. She is extremely active in theater at the Lucille Ball Little Theatre of Jamestown where she has played the lead role in Nunsense, Guys and Dolls and South Pacific. Other credits include roles in The King and I, Annie Get Your Gun and the opera Carmen. She has also been a member of the Chautauqua Chamber Singers. Sarah works at the Chautauqua Institution as the Coordinator of Student Services for the Fine and Performing Arts Schools. She lives in Jamestown with her husband Grant, and their dog Stella.
Tim Edborg: This is Tim Edborg’s fourth year as a judge in SE93’s Chautauqua Lake Idol. Tim was the original drummer in the 10,000 Maniacs and the drummer for AmericanEmpire Records recording artist Tokyo Rose. In 1987 he was voted Buffalo's Top Rock Drummer by Buffalo's Backstreet Music Awards. For over 40 years he has performed drums and percussion in bands and orchestras. Today he is the drummer with the Bemus Pt United Methodist Church Praise Team which will be worshipping on the floating stage throughout the summer at Praise on the Lake. He also plays percussion in the Jamestown Community Orchestra and with the Christian Rock group Raise the Roof. Tim lives in Jamestown with his wife Lianne and 2 children Brielle and Christian.
Mike Quimby:
Mike is joining us for his third year as an SE93's Chautauqua Lake Idol judge. A local musician, Mike serves as the Director of Worship and Technical Arts for the Bemus Point United Methodist Church. He and his wife Jennifer are expecting twin boys in October! His musical training began at the age of 8 when he started studying cello. Eventually Mike learned to play several instruments including guitar and piano and has performed in numerous musical productions as well. For the last year Mike has been working as part of the Families of Continental Flight 3407 family group to help increase standards for aviation safety nationwide.
LouAnn Dobmeier: This is LouAnn's fourth year as a judge in SE93's Chautauqua Lake Idol. LouAnn received her Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Edinboro University and Master's in Music from Fredonia. She currently teaches elementary music in the Jamestown Public School District. She is a member of the Chautauqua County Music Teacher's Association and is actively involved with the Artist-In-Residence program, which is sponsored by the Arts Council of Jamestown, at C.C. Ring School. she has been the choir accompanist at Zion Lutheran Church in Frewsburg for many years. LouAnn lives in Jamestown with her husband, John. They have a daughter, Shannon, her husband, Josh, and a beautiful granddaughter, Grace.
